A popular TV personality and someone everyone loves to see dance the samba. For Carnaval 2010 will be starring as the Queen of the Drums for Vila Isabel. It will be her 3rd samba school in 4 years but for 2010 she is as excited as ever to be participating at a high level. She is also excited to be telling the media frenzy surrounding her about the honeymoon she and her famous husband Belo will take to Disney World in Orlando (USA) shortly after the Carnaval.

Gracyanne's greatest media attention comes from her participation in the carnival. She was the carnival queen of bateria for the first time in 2007 with Salgueiro. For 2008 and 2009 she again held this prominent position of rainha da bateria with Mangueira . Starting with the 2010 Carnval she will be the Queen of the bateria for Vila Isabel. She has also been the for many years been seen in the Sao Paulo Carnaval as the madrinha de bateria da Império de Casa Verde.

Gracyanne is popular model in men's magazines including a cover of Playboy for January 2007 wearing Salgueiro colors.

Gracyanne is also focused on her career as a media personality and as an actress. In 2009 she joined the cast of Beautiful, the Ugly, [de Bela, a Feia ,]starring with renowned actors such as Raul Gazolla and Luisa Tomé. She has an ambition to a talkshow hostess. #

New Rivalry for 2010
Gracyanne's replacement at Mangueira, Renata Santos has risen to considerable prominence not only by being tapped to become the Queen of one of the Carnaval's most prestigious samba schools but also by the media's interest in comparing her to Gracyanne. Renata was the only other Bateria Queen to attend Gracyanne's coronation but said she was disappointed that Gracyanne no longer had time for their friendship.

Belo goes from Viv to Grace

The press enjoyed an opportunity to focus on a rivalry between Gracyanne and her replacement in the Salgueiro Samba School, Viviane Araújo in 2008. The clash of the two Muses first heated up in 2007, when Gracyanne began performing with Belo, who is afterall the former husband of Viviane .

"When they (Viviane and Belo) finished, everything was already solved. Each had other relationships. What they have had and are only to resolve the litigation. Now we are all very happy," Gracyanne said to an EGO reporter. According to Gracyanne, the famous samba Queen, who took her place as Salguiero Queen, was always "cool" when she called her cell phone to inquire about the ex.

Viviane and Belo were married for eight years. In 2006, the singer was arrested for drug trafficking. Viviane would often visit him in jail. She was in the process of going through the steps necessary to enable her to be entitled to intimate visits when she was stunned by a change in her marital relationship. In 2007, the couple separated amidst rumors of treason - Belo was seeing dancer Gracyanne Barbosa. After the separation, Belo and Viviane met only in court, when they decided the division of property - which included the sale of the couple's mansion in Barra da Tijuca.

Viviane was voted as the best Carnival queen of the batteria in 2008 Rio Sambodrom Carnaval.

The ex-wife of singer Belo had beautiful debut as the red-and-white queen of the critically acclaimed and crowd favorite samba school Tijuca.

Graceyanne was very excited to have been given her first choice of drum baterias to lead in the 2008 Carnaval. "I prefer Manguera because it has an unparalleled energy, "said the dancer.

According to the survey, reported at globo.com/carnaval2008 there was a technical tie between Viviane Araújo (6.6%) of the Salgueiro, and Juliana Paes (6.4%), successor to Luma de Oliveira as Queen of Viradouro.

Still there is the prize that Gracyanne most desired. In June of 2008 she had a "I love you Belo." tattoo engraved on her arm by Daniel Larusso in Studio Wanda Frank.

The most recent imprisonment of Belo came for a few months in 2008 when prosecutors successfully returned him from probation on the first conviction, an 8-year sentence for drug dealing.. After postponing the union for some time, Belo decided to marry at once with Gracyanne Barbosa after he left the prison in 2008 in a civil ceremony in October with a formal religious ceremony for the public to be announced at a later date.
